The Mind-Body Connection!

When Martial Arts training first came to the USA, there was much confusion about what exactly the benefits where when studying Martial Arts.  Will I learn to FIGHT? Or, are Martial Arts defensive?  Will my physically conditioning consist of an instructor with a boot camp mentality yelling at me, and pushing me to the break point?  Or, will I sit, mediate and make slow motion movements like Kwai Chang Caine in the television show “Kung Fu”?
The answer to these questions back then was “YES”.  Yes it could be any of the above.  The answer to those questions today is also “YES”, with the addition of Martial Arts Schools that are at a degree of somewhere between the two.

For the mind, you will gain greater clarity, focus, concentration, increased memory, mental reaction time, timing, increased mental energy, and more.
For the body you will increase strength, stamina, balance and flexibility.  With consistent training your body will attain it’s natural and most healthy weight.
For the Spirit, you gain greater insight into the Mind-Body connection, learning to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increasing self discipline and patience all while attaining greater peace of mind. (Spirit implies the way we approach our training, as in the Warrior Spirit, and in the non tangible benefits received from the physical and mental training, not in a religious sense)
Kajuyodo is also system of transformation in which you take the things you learn in class, and can apply them to everyday life.  You will receive all of these benefits while learning an ancient and proven art of Self Defense that teaches how to protect yourself and your loved ones in real world situations.
